If you are a resident of Bengaluru or if you are looking forward to buying a property in Bengaluru, you should know what BDA is. Purchasing a plot necessitates extensive market research, and it is critical to evaluate all aspects of the property before investing. The nature of the land and its validity is the most crucial aspect to look into. The land should be approved by the BDA and validated by its criteria.

The BDA focuses primarily on the planned development of Bangalore city, excellent infrastructure, provision of sites and services, and meeting the housing requirements of the people. BDA formerly was known as the City Improvement Trust Board (CITB).
The C.I.T.B. developed number of residential extension schemes in different parts of the City on a planned basis and has met a considerable part of the demand for developed house sites. Besides developing residential sites, the C.I.T.B. developed and industrial suburb and also took up road widening schemes – an important road being the B.V.K. Iyengar Road .

BDA has formed many layouts in Bangalore so far. The Bangalore BDA keeps track of candidates who have applied for sites in BDA layouts. BDA normally allots plots, on a first come first serve basis and based on particular criteria and a lottery mechanism after establishing a layout. The property allotment may take years together.
This is not the case with a BDA e-auction. Any Indian citizen can participate in the auction. There is not a lottery system in place. The auction will be won by the highest bidder on a certain range.
Almost in every BDA developed area, there is a BDA complex. For example, there is a BDA complex in Jayanagar, HSR Layout, Koramangala, Nagarbhavi, Banashankari, and many other areas. Almost all the BDA complexes are famous for budget shopping and street food and chats.
BDA property tax payment is very easy nowadays. It can be done online. Property taxes can be paid by net banking, debit card, or credit card.
BDA mentions BDA site dimensions only in meters ( not in Feet )even in the papers. It is your responsibility to check for the exact dimensions before making the final payment and agreement.
