What strikes your mind when I say the word Banashankari? The temple right. Yes, Banashankari is one of the popular localities in South Bengaluru & it is named after the famous Banashankari Temple on Kanakapura Road, one of Bangalore’s oldest and well-known temples constructed by Subramanya Shetty in 1915. It is abbreviated as BSK. When I say south Bengaluru, Banashankari is one of the prominent localities.
Locality-Which zone is Banashankari?
The locality of Banashankari is the largest in Bengaluru and is densely populated. It is one of the most happening places with a lot of developments happening in and around Bengaluru. When I say Banashankari, it starts from Mysore road, extends all the way to Kanakapura Road. Divided into six stages, it is home to some of the biggest residential apartments and many upcoming real estate projects. It has some of the prominent areas like Hanumantha Nagara, Girinagar, Srinagar, Azad Nagar. Banashankari is a 6th stage locality in the southwestern part of Bengaluru and lies on one side of the Bengaluru Mysore expressway.
Connectivity
The locality has excellent connectivity compared to other localities in Bengaluru. The Banashankari TTMC bus station has buses connecting to almost all the parts of Bengaluru. The frequency of the buses is quite good and the majority of the people of Banashankari solely rely on Public transport. Metro has started operating in the locality and people are utilising it to commute to other parts of Bengaluru. There is 24/7 availability of the cab and auto facility. When I talk of connectivity, Banashankari has the best connectivity.
Banashankari has the best possible amenities and the infrastructure of the locality is well developed. The residential areas here are well developed, with wide roads, trees in and around the locality and good shopping centres & malls. You can get whatever you want in the locality. There are several small shops within the locality to fulfil the daily requirements of the residents and there is the local market as well. It has the best shopping centres, schools and hospitals. Street Food and Shopping at BDA Complex
On a larger note, we don’t think that most of the Bengalurians have considered this place as the must-visit one but, i do. It is a mini-food street offering a lot of varieties from chaats, sweets, to snacks and masala.
Hari’s Super Sandwich
It is one of the popular sandwich joints in Bengaluru. Chaat point will never fall flat to impress the people of Bengaluru. People usually go to Jayanagar for Hari’s super sandwich but surprisingly, They have a branch in here too.
