Former liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s ancestral home was originally housed in Kingfisher Towers, which was erected on a 4.5-acre plot. This 34-story building houses 81 apartments in three blocks, as well as a 40,000-square-foot mansion-style penthouse designed just for Mallya. It was built as an extension of UB City’s premium retail and office under a joint project contract among United Breweries Holdings Ltd (UBHL) and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. The project was completed almost 10 years ago.
The prestige groups have sold almost 41 premium units in the kingfisher towers. The unit brought by Rana George is the costliest real-estate deal in the year 2022.
