Mukesh Ambani– With an estimated net worth of USD 83.4 billion, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, is placed 9th on Forbes‘ 37th annual World’s Billionaires List 2023, and the richest person in India. Mukesh Ambani reclaimed his title as Asia’s richest man. Reliance Industries, the oil-to-telecom juggernaut owned by Ambani, became the first Indian business to earn more than $100 billion in sales last year.
Gautam Adani – The majority of the fall is attributable to one well-known incident: the stock crash of Adani Group firms following charges of fraud made in a January report by short-seller Hindenburg Research (allegations the Adani Group has refuted). The stock decline virtually cut Gautam Adani’s net worth in half, from $90 billion to $47.2 billion, from the previous year. The infrastructure and commodities tycoon, who temporarily rose to No. 2 on the global wealth list in September of last year and was at No. 3 for most of January, fell to No. 24. He is currently the second-richest person in India.
Shiv Nadar – Software tycoon Shiv Nadar’s wealth dropped 11% from a year earlier to $25.6 billion as the computer industry lost its shine, yet he still managed to hold onto third place in terms of wealth in the nation.
Cyrus Poonawalla – The fourth-richest individual in India is Cyrus Poonawalla, chairman and managing director of the Cyrus Poonawalla Group, which is home to the world’s largest manufacturer of vaccines, Serum Institute of India. His wealth is now valued at $22.6 billion despite a 7% decline in net worth over the previous year.
Lakshmi Mittal – Lakshmi Mittal, the head of O.P. Jindal Group, is the fifth-wealthiest person in India with a fortune of $17.7 billion, and Savitri Jindal, the only woman to rank in the top 10, with a fortune of $17.5 billion.
Savitri Jindal – Mrs Jindal is the 94th richest person in the world and the sixth richest person in India. She is the widow of company founder Om Prakash Jindal, who died in a helicopter crash in 2005.
Dilip Shanghvi – Only one Indian billionaire, Dilip Shanghvi, the managing director of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, has seen his net worth remain constant during the past 12 months. His wealth is valued at $15.6 billion.
Radhakishan Damani – Radhakishan Damani, a retail tycoon who controls the DMart retail chain, saw his wealth drop to $15.3 billion when shares of his Avenue Supermarts plummeted in value. Despite being among the top 10 richest Indians in the world, Damani has dropped to eighth place.
Kumar Birla – The Chairman of the prestigious worldwide conglomerate firm Aditya Birla Group, Kumar Mangalam Birla, often known as Kumar Birla, has retained his ranking as India’s ninth-richest person with a net worth of 14.2 billion dollars.
Uday Kotak– Uday Kotak (12.9 billion USD): With a net worth of 12.9 billion dollars, the Indian billionaire banker, Executive Vice Chairman, and Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Bank, has surpassed the top 10 richest people in India. He held the number 12 spot the year before.
Youngest Billionaire
The co-founders of make deals brokerage Zerodha, 36-year-old Nikhil Kamath and his older brother Nithin Kamath, are this year’s youngest Indian billionaires according to the Forbes list. Nithin’s fortune is valued at $2.7 billion, compared to Nikhil’s $1.1 billion.

Mr. Balaji is our family acquaintance and is known to us for several years, he is also involved in philanthropic work, It is our good fortune that we entrusted the sale of our ancestral property to Mr. Balaji and his company. Mr. Balaji and his team of trusted lieutenants ensured the process right from selecting the buyer till completion of sale was completed without any hiccups and took care of all the paper work. Balaji and his team were willing to go the extra mile to ensure the sale was complete as per agreement. We would like to commend Balaji and team and hope we will have the opportunity to engage him again in the future. Wishing Balaji and team all success personally and professionally.
