What is BDA E-Auction

The main planning entity for Bangalore is the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). As a regulatory authority mandated to “develop and plan in the appropriate way a Complete Development Strategy” for the Bangalore Metropolitan Region, it serves the Bangalore Metropolitan Region following the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act of 1961. Furthermore, it is currently Bangalore’s mainland developer and is charged with designing and building the city’s infrastructure, providing sites and services associated with development, and meeting the housing needs of the city’s less fortunate residents. Within the Bangalore Metropolitan Region, only the BDA has the authority to carry out development.

The BDA is attributed to reacting to these results by implementing some changes in operational management, asset monitoring, and accounting procedures, which resulted in a considerable rise in residential layout development and allocation. The City Improvement Trust Board (CITB), a previous civic organization, was replaced by the Bangalore Development Development Authority on January 6, 1976, following the Bangalore Development Authority Act, 1976. However, the two organizations’ functions were remarkably similar. The BDA is a completely non-elected local government, and the majority of its members are directly appointed and answerable to the state government.

All about BDA E Auction

The plots have been aggressively offered for sale through BDA E-Auction (Bangalore Development Authority) since 2012. These are residential areas in Bangalore that have undergone significant development. Bangalore property ownership through bidding is hassle-free. About 62 layouts in Bangalore have so far been created by BDA. Applicants who have applied for sites in BDA layouts are listed by seniority on the Bangalore BDA website.

BDA usually distributes the plots based on a lottery system and specified criteria after creating a layout. It differs from the e-auction procedure. The auction is open to all Indian citizens. A lottery system does not exist. A specific parcel will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

BDA E Auction 2022

In the year 2022, for corner plots, the Bangalore Development Authority held an online auction between April 11 and May 18. Interesting individuals can participate in the bidding process while seated anywhere in the world.

The BDA reports that numerous new layouts, including Arkavathy, Anjanapura, Sir M Visweswaraiya, NadaPrabhu KempeGowda Layout, Rajaji Nagar, JP Nagar, Banashankari, RMN, and BTM, have corner sites available for purchase. The 2nd phase of the BDA e-auction took place from 17.7.2022 to 12.8.2022. Around 1500 plots were available in the configurations listed below. For 7 years

BDA has been consistently issuing e-auction notifications every quarter. Bidders have successfully won at both the base price and high prices.
